Mumbai, India: Acclaimed producer Kamal Jain, known for backing impactful films like Manikarnika, has described Dhurandhar as a rare cinematic phenomenon that goes beyond conventional storytelling to influence audience behaviour.

Sharing his perspective, Jain emphasized that Dhurandhar is not just another film release but a cultural force that commands attention and disrupts viewing patterns.

“Dhurandhar isn’t just a film—it’s a phenomenon. Every once in a while, a film breaks through the usual noise and creates a lasting cultural impact. We’ve seen that before with films like Deewar, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Vicky Donor, MS Dhoni, and Sanju, where powerful storytelling and performances stayed with audiences long after they left the theatre,” Jain said.

He further noted that while the film belongs to the league of such impactful cinema, its influence is amplified in today’s hyper-connected world.

“What truly sets it apart is the scale at which that impact is amplified today. The film doesn’t just reach audiences—it actively draws them in, creating urgency and excitement around the theatrical experience,” he added.

Highlighting the team behind the film, Jain credited the creators for their clarity of vision and execution.

“What stands out is the conviction of its makers. Aditya’s sharp writing, direction, music, and performances bring depth to the narrative, while Jyoti Deshpande’s strong business and distribution strategy has elevated it into a full-fledged marketing phenomenon,” he said.

According to Jain, Dhurandhar represents a shift in how cinema operates in the modern era—where content is no longer passive but actively shapes conversations and audience behaviour.

“This is what happens when storytelling evolves from being just an art form into a force that drives audience behaviour,” he remarked.

With strong industry voices backing its impact, Dhurandhar appears to be positioned at the intersection of storytelling and scale. In an entertainment landscape often driven by numbers and noise, the film is being seen as an example of relevance that resonates deeply with audiences.
