Nidarshana Ramesh Gowani under the umbrella of her Kamala Trust is conducting several activities and societal uplifting initiatives to strengthen the community. Going a notch higher, this time she has organised a pious campaign of Samuhik Vivah (mass wedding) of 25 underprivileged, tribal couples. On the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary, Ramesh Gowani and Nidarshana Gowani decided to celebrate their wedding anniversary in this unique way. Instead of throwing a grand party, they gave back to the society. For the couples, right from their wedding outfits to gifts for the brides and grooms, entire ceremonial arrangements to lavish buffet of dinner, from VIP guests to spiritual leaders attending the wedding; ‘Kanya Sneh Bandhan’ is one such grand historic samuhik vivah utsav organised in Maharashtra.

Calling this initiative ‘Kanya Sneh Bandhan,’ Nidarshana Gowani aspires to organise a dream wedding for underprivileged girls and boys by giving them a lavish wedding- a memory worth their lifetime. The Gowanis not only got them married but also settled these couple and their families by providing them with all necessary means of living that would help them in generating employment too.

Guests present were Shri Jishnu Dev Varma Ji (Hon. Governor of Maharashtra), Shri Manoj Tiwari Ji (Hon. Member of the Lok Sabha), Shri Gulam Ali Khatana Ji (Hon. Member of Rajya Sabha), Shri Chunnilal Garasiya Ji (Hon. Member of the Rajya Sabha), Shri Ashish Shelar Ji (Minister of Cultural Affairs of Maharashtra), Smt. Baby Rani Maurya Ji (Hon. Minister of Women’s Welfare, Child Development & Nutrition of Uttar Pradesh), Shri Rahul Narwekar Ji (Hon. Member of Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra), Shri Sanjay Upadhyay Ji (Hon. Member of Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra), Smt. Madhavi Latha Ji (Indian Politician), Shri Ram Lal Ji (Hon. Akhil Bhartiya Sampark Pramukh, RSS), Shri Suresh Jain Ji (Hon. National Organising Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad), Smt. Renuka Goswami Ji (Spiritual Leader), actors- Jackie Shroff and Vishal Jethwa.

Speaking about this initiative, Nidarshana Gowani, said, “This year Ramesh Ji and I are celebrating our 25th marriage anniversary, and instead of doing a regular celebration and party, we decided to organise a lavish wedding for 25 underprivileged couples for whom this would be a dream. Considering all the girls as our own daughters, we have planned everything for them right from their outfits, hair-makeup, all the necessary household requirements for setting up their marriage lives, jewellery for the brides, cycle for the grooms, travel suite-cases, and some special gifts for the couples. We not only got them married but also provided them with means to generate employment and make the girls atmanirbhar. This is in fact my dream come true, as I always wanted to organise something like this. We are very grateful to all the guests and family members who came to grace this auspicious occasion. Our hearts are filled with love and contentment. We wish to keep conducting many such ‘Kanya Sneh Bandhan’ samuhik vivah utsav in the coming time. Having a lavish wedding is always a dream for these boys and girls, and we aim to make this dream of theirs come true. We urge everyone to come forward and be a part of such initiatives, giving back to the society. Everybody can have money, but it’s wise how you use that money in serving others. Instead of wasting money in alcohol parties, isn’t it full filling to bring a smile on someone’s face? Wishing all the newly wedded a happy and blessed life ahead…”

Nidarshana Gowani is also the first female Vice President of Bharat Vikas Parishad, who is always in the frontline when it comes to serving the society…
