New Delhi, August 11, 2026: The YUVAK Foundation, the youth wing affiliated with Bharat Vikas Parishad, organised the Swami Vivekananda National Conclave 2026 on August 8 and 9 at Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi, bringing together more than 500 school and college students from across India for two days of dialogue, debate and deliberation on issues concerning the nation and the world.

The conclave was powered by IRCTC as part of its youth-focused initiative and was organised under the guidance of Shri Suresh Jain Ji, National Organising Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad. The programme featured two major initiatives – Delhi Model United Nations and Shastrarth National Dialogue – providing young participants with platforms to discuss contemporary issues and propose practical solutions. The event opened with a welcome and introduction ceremony attended by Shri Rangan Trivedi Ji, author of Amrit Kaal Odyssey and National Convener, YUVAK Foundation; Shri Om Jha Ji, National Convener, YUVAK Foundation; Ms. Sania Balhara, Delhi Coordinator, YUVAK Foundation, and representatives of IRCTC. The opening proceedings were led by Secretary General Lakshmi Rao Cairae, who welcomed the participants.

Shri Rangan Trivedi Ji spoke about India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat and the role of youth in the nation’s development. Shri Om Jha Ji highlighted the need to create stronger channels through which young people can connect with government institutions and contribute ideas and solutions to the governance process. Ms. Sania Balhara also participated as a guest at the opening ceremony, supporting the initiative’s objective of strengthening youth engagement and participation. Over the two days, participants engaged in spirited discussions on issues including the education system, women’s rights, gender-neutral laws and the need for more effective laws and policies for youth. The conclave provided young people with an opportunity not only to voice their concerns but also to develop practical solutions that could be taken forward to relevant institutions and authorities.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary Ji, Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Government of India; Shri Manoj Kumar Ji, Director, Catering, IRCTC; Prof. Sanjeev Tiwari, Principal, Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi; Ms. Sania Balhara, Delhi Coordinator, YUVAK Foundation, and other members and representatives of YUVAK Foundation. They were welcomed by Mr. Harsh Malhotra. Addressing the gathering, Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary Ji highlighted the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the government’s efforts towards creating greater opportunities for India’s youth. He also spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s vision of youth power, emphasising the important role of young Indians in driving the country’s growth in the 21st century.

Shri Manoj Kumar Ji highlighted the transformation taking place in Indian Railways under the leadership of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji and spoke about IRCTC’s efforts in catering services. He highlighted that IRCTC serves more than 16 lakh meals every day, reflecting the scale of its operations and its commitment to passenger services. Prof. Sanjeev Tiwari urged young people to remain connected, informed and focused on real issues rather than being distracted by unnecessary narratives. His message was further reinforced by Shri Om Jha Ji, who stressed the importance of meaningful youth participation and solution-oriented dialogue.

The closing ceremony also witnessed the distribution of prizes to winners of various committees, recognising their participation and performance in the different discussions. Participants were also assured of opportunities for internships across various sectors, providing them with avenues to translate their learning into practical experience. The event was smoothly coordinated with the support of Sahil Babbar, YUVAK Representative, and formally concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary General Lakshmi Rao Cairae. The Swami Vivekananda National Conclave 2026 served as a platform for more than 500 young Indians to engage with national and global issues, exchange ideas and present solutions, reinforcing the larger vision that the youth are not merely the future of India but active stakeholders in building a Viksit Bharat.
