Airsoft Gun India brings the Umarex Legends MP40 .177 Calibre CO₂ BB Air Gun to Indian shooting-sports enthusiasts, combining a distinctive historical design with modern recreational air-gun functionality.
MUMBAI, INDIA – The world of recreational shooting and air-gun collecting continues to attract enthusiasts looking for products that combine distinctive design, engineering and sporting appeal. Adding to this category is the Umarex Legends MP40 German Legacy Edition, a .177 calibre (4.5 mm) CO₂-powered BB air gun available through Airsoft Gun India.
Inspired by the historic MP40 design, the Umarex Legends MP40 brings a recognisable chapter of 20th-century military history into the world of recreational air guns. Its full-metal construction, folding stock and blowback action give it a distinctive presence among CO₂-powered air-gun models.
A Historic Design with Modern CO₂ Technology
The original MP40 is one of the recognisable firearm designs associated with the Second World War. Its distinctive profile has remained familiar to military-history enthusiasts, collectors and people interested in historical engineering.
The Umarex Legends MP40 recreates elements of that classic appearance in a .177 calibre BB air-gun format. Rather than being a firearm, it is a CO₂-powered sporting air gun designed for recreational plinking and target shooting, subject to applicable laws and safe-use requirements.
The combination of historical styling and modern air-gun operation makes it an interesting addition to the Umarex Legends collection.
Key Features of the Umarex Legends MP40
The MP40 combines several features that distinguish it from conventional recreational air guns:
* Full-metal construction: A substantial metal-bodied design.
* CO₂-powered operation: Uses two 12-gram CO₂ cartridges.
* .177 calibre (4.5 mm): Designed for BB ammunition.
* Semi-automatic operation: Repeater-style recreational shooting.
* Blowback action: Adds movement during operation.
* 50-round BB magazine: Designed for multiple shots before reloading.
* Folding shoulder stock: Retains the distinctive MP40-inspired appearance.
* Adjustable rear sight: Elevation adjustment for sight alignment.
* Manual safety: An integrated safety feature.
According to the product specifications, the air gun delivers a velocity of up to 450 FPS. Actual performance may vary depending on operating conditions, CO₂ temperature and ammunition.
Designed for Collectors and Recreational Shooting Enthusiasts
The Umarex Legends MP40 occupies an interesting space between historical design appreciation and recreational shooting. Its classic styling may appeal to collectors of historical replicas, while its CO₂-powered operation offers a recreational shooting experience in an appropriately controlled environment.
The full-metal construction, folding stock and blowback feature give the model a distinctive identity within the imported air-gun segment.
As with all air guns, users should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use suitable eye protection, maintain a safe shooting direction and operate the product only in a secure, authorised shooting environment.

Understanding Air Gun Regulations in India
Air-gun buyers should understand the applicable Indian regulations before purchasing or using any product. Under the Arms Rules, 2016, the licensing classification for air weapons generally depends on both bore size and muzzle energy. Air weapons within the specified .177-inch (4.5 mm) bore and 20-joule limits are generally treated differently from those exceeding either threshold.
Buyers should verify the exact product specifications, classification and applicable documentation requirements before purchase. Dealer and other compliance requirements must also be followed.
A Distinctive Addition to India’s CO₂ Air-Gun Market
With its recognisable historical styling, full-metal construction and CO₂-powered operation, the Umarex Legends MP40 offers a distinctive option in the recreational air-gun segment.
For enthusiasts interested in historical designs and modern sporting air guns, the model represents another example of how classic styling continues to influence today’s recreational shooting products.
