Delhi Art Society, in collaboration with India International Centre, successfully hosted the catalogue launch of the group exhibition Samanvaya: Line · Colour · Form – Dialogues in Contemporary Indian Art, curated by Jyoti A Kathpalia.
Featuring works by 25 artists, the exhibition opened on 20 March 2026 and brings together diverse practices in contemporary Indian art.

The catalogue was formally released by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism, Government of India, in the presence of renowned artist Rameshwar Broota.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening the ecosystem for contemporary art and sculpture in India, noting that focused attention is essential for Indian art to claim its rightful place on the global stage.

Neeraj Gupta, President of Delhi Art Society, reiterated his long-standing commitment to supporting artists and promoting serious contemporary practices. He highlighted that the Society has consistently worked towards bringing meaningful and intense artistic voices to the forefront.

Curator Jyoti A Kathpalia remarked, “This exhibition is unique as it speaks to both the individual and the universal. The coming together of diverse artists and sculptors, each with their own visual language, creates a dynamic dialogue—this is truly the spirit of Samanvaya. While each work is distinct, together they communicate a shared, universal language of art.”

Held at the Main Art Gallery, India International Centre, the exhibition celebrates the richness and diversity of contemporary Indian artistic expression through an engaging interplay of line, colour, and form, and will remain open to the public till 30 March 2026.
