Mumbai, India: Mask TV has officially announced the launch of Rush Play , its new vertical short-drama platform, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the rapidly growing mobile-first entertainment market. Launching with more than 150 vertical short dramas, Rush Play enters the industry with one of the largest content libraries available at launch.

Initially integrated within the Mask TV app, Rush Play enables existing users to instantly access a vast collection of premium short-form dramas. The company also revealed plans to introduce Rush Play as a standalone application in the near future, offering an even more dedicated experience for vertical drama audiences.

Designed specifically for smartphone users, Rush Play features fast-paced, cinematic stories told in a vertical format. The platform spans multiple genres, including romance, suspense, family drama, action, thriller, comedy, and inspirational stories, catering to viewers looking for high-quality entertainment in short episodes.

The platform premieres with popular titles including Delivery Boy, Beyond the Sash, and over 150 additional original and licensed dramas, with new releases planned every month.

The launch is being spearheaded by Chiranjeevi Bhatt, Founder & CEO of Mask TV, and Mansie Bhatt, Co-Founder of Mask TV, who envision Rush Play as the next phase of the company’s digital entertainment journey.

Speaking about the launch, Chiranjeevi Bhatt said:

“The way people consume entertainment is changing rapidly. Mobile-first, short-form storytelling has become a global phenomenon, and Rush Play is our answer to that evolution. We wanted to launch with a substantial library of over 150 dramas so audiences have something to binge-watch from day one. This is only the beginning of what we plan to build.”

Mansie Bhatt added:

“Our focus has always been on delivering meaningful entertainment across languages and genres. Rush Play combines compelling storytelling with a seamless viewing experience designed specifically for today’s mobile users. We are excited to expand this library with exclusive originals and reach millions of viewers across India.”*

Rush Play strengthens Mask TV’s growing content ecosystem by bringing traditional OTT entertainment and premium vertical dramas together on a single platform. Users can seamlessly switch between full-length movies, web series, and short dramas without leaving the app.

As the vertical entertainment industry continues to grow worldwide, Mask TV believes Rush Play is well-positioned to become one of India’s leading destinations for premium short-form storytelling. The company’s long-term roadmap includes launching Rush Play as a dedicated standalone app with enhanced features, exclusive productions, and an expanding catalogue of original content.

With more than 150 dramas available at launch and many more in development, Rush Play aims to redefine the way Indian audiences discover and consume entertainment on mobile devices.
